Here are some pictures, including the ones from Neville...finally. As Trevor continues his crazy steroid behavior, we are struggling to maintain our composure with him. He has completely lost it. He no longer acts like a human, rather a monster in disguise. Tomorrow is the last day. Thank goodness.

Holy Cow

Well, we are so grateful that Trevor is on the mend...physically. Psychologically, that is a whole different story. Steroids create a person somewhat demonic at times. He not only talked in a whiny, high-pitched squeal that can grate on one's nerves. And his tantrums? Well, I'm not sure that there is a word in a regular dictionary or a slang dictionary to define his state of being. But I can tell you this much. It is obnoxious and absolutely unpleasant. I think he has one more day of them. At least he is off the albuterol (for the most part). Two stimulants are awful. He is literally jumping and swinging from furniture, shaking and hopping when you try to stop and have a normal conversation with him, and non-stop wanting this and that. So, needless to say, I'll be a tiny bit less stressed when he is done.

Oh, how I miss these days...haha. Seems like only yesterday, he would be calm enough to do school. He can't even sit still to listen to a two second book. It is almost comical how squirmy and intense he is.

And I am finally getting around to editing some older photos. Here is Trevor's baseball pictures. Sorry about MJ's dirty mouth. It is only a smidgen evident here, how dirty they all were by the end of the evening. By the way, I was right. His trophy didn't make it through the day with out being broken...haha.

Sick Sick Sick

For those of you who don't know, things have been extremely insane here. Not only does Trevor have pneumonia in his lungs, but we also had a close call with the H1N1, otherwise known as Swine Flu. We spent the better half of yesterday at the doctors office and at Mercy, getting lab tests done to find out if he had the virus. It started on Saturday. He started with an awful cough, wheezing, vomiting and a fever of 103-104. This continued until this morning. It has been one of the scariest things I have dealt with when it comes to my kids' health. Of course, Caleb's three day stay, and continued visits to Children's Hospital a few years ago for pneumonia top the charts too. Anyway, he seems to be feeling somewhat better. He has been fever free for over eight hours. He is still wheezing, coughing, etc. But he seems to be making a recovery. Now, he is a wild banshee since he is on steroids, albuterol and antibiotics. Double stimulant medication is not a pleasant combination for Trevor who already has behavior difficulties and signs of some hyper activeness. Oh what fun my next several days will become. I am not complaining, though. I am so blessed and so overwhelmingly excited that he doesn't have the terrible swine flu. And more so, that Caleb wasn't exposed. His little immune system doesn't fair well with those types of illnesses.


These pictures were taken a few weeks ago at The Home Depot. They have a FREE program where they can work with Mr. Charlie (staff worker) to build crafts and household items on the first Saturday of every month. The kids love it...and I need a drink before I go...lol What a gerat experience for the kids, but not so much for a mom who can't read directions, let alone follow them. Trying to get three small children to follow step by step directions and to use tools is no easy feat. Totally worth it, though as they are having a wonderful time and getting to know a most exquisite Mr. Charlie...

Lazy

I have found myself so overwhelmed with appointments, non-sleeping kids, sibling rivalry (between my kids, not Heidi and Fred...haha), kitchen renovations gone bad, etc. I have become quite "lazy" with my photography. First the frames, now the lack of editing. Maybe once the kids are in school, I will find myself with some spare time. At the moment, I can barely breath. I did receive wonderful news at the doctor today. NO...I AM NOT PREGNANT!! I found a lump in my breast. Thank God, I got it checked and it is completely normal. I do have to continue to watch it for changes as it is not completely normal to have fibroids of this size, but had a sonogram done of the lump and there is no nothing suspicious in the tissue surrounding it. I was quite scared since I now have family history with my aunt having breast cancer. Thank God. I cried tears of happiness. I have never felt more blessed and truly lucky for my health and life, overall.

Here is how I found Trevor one day last week. He kept calling me from upstairs (on my cell from the home phone) and telling me he was going to work at Duke. I was busy with household chores and said, "Ok...have a great day at work. We will miss you. Don't forget to pack your lunch." When I came upstairs after my fifth or sixth phone call, this is what I found. Cute, huh? I love almost five year olds. And two and three year olds aren't too shabby either.

Bye Bye Frames

OK. No more frames for my pictures. Something happened to the program I was using, and I have to manually put each frame on, download a program, and save each picture twice in order to have a frame. So, as much of a perfectionist I have become over my pictures, I am going to have to let this one go. Hopefully it won't bother me too much. If so, you will know...lol

I have a TON of pictures to edit from the last few weeks. I have been crazy busy, as usual. We are now in the midst of more kitchen renovations. I will post all of those when I can. I don't think I ever posted the original pictures. Anyhow, hope everyone has a wonderful week. God Bless.

Summer Fun

Here are some pictures of the kids yesterday. They had a great time with Slimey the Slug. He actually made it through the afternoon. Too bad I couldn't say that for all the other victims...Wiggles the Wormie, Montie the Moth, Larry the Lightning Bug...may they all rest in peace.

The picture of McKenna on the floor was taken in the morning. I couldn't decide if she was sick or tired. I think it is a little of both. She is starting to run a slight fever and is extremely fussy. Not really all that common for her. Although, she is becoming a little more vocal these days.

The next few weeks are crazy busy as we have several appointments. Trevor and I both have post-surgery check ups, the boys have annual check ups, I have a few other appointments, and so on. Plus, we are gearing up for the start of the schoolyear. Here's to hoping I can remember everything I need to get, go, etc.

Sorry

Soory it has been so long. Here are a few pictures, Mom, to wet your whistle. Kids and I have been crazy busy, we've been dealing with Caleb's asthma and have just had a ton of stuff going on. Here is a collage of the craft we made tonight. The boys LOVED seeing how tall we could make the tampon tower. I know, I know...but I have saving boxes for a while now, and these were a few of the boxes they chose to use. I have so much fun doing this goofy stuff with them. Anyway, I have about 100 pictures to edit and post. Not sure when I will get them on here. But, as I said...this can give you a taste of what is to come. I feel bad, I try to put pictures on here for those of you who are out of town or what-not, but have run out of umph at the end of the day. Imagine that, eh?

Playing Games

One of many games I have recently made to help Trevor and Caleb get ready for school. Hard to believe they will be starting school in a few weeks. Hard to believe Trevor will be in kindergarten. Even harder to believe he is reading. Such a grown up little boy. I am really enjoying putting my masters degree to work. Nothing like going to college for nearly 8 years and letting it go to waste. I have had more fun this past year teaching my kids. I love to watch them learn. I am so blessed to have such amazing kids. I can't wait to continue to learn and grow with them through the years.
