Pigroast

So I am finally getting around to posting the pigroast pictures from this summer. Shame on me. As you all know, I have TONS of spare time to edit and post pictures. i did, however, do it. I have been meaning to post these since August. So, here you go. The kids were so dirty. I think I posted a few pictures of dirty feet several months ago, but here are the rest. Caleb's creepy eyes are a little disturbing, but funny. And I love, love, love the pictures of me and mom and the one of the girls. We had a good time. Hopefully we can have another get together soon. With the changing weather, I have a feeling it will be a while, but we are looking forward to it.
Kids are feeling much, much better. Trevor is back to school this week. We have decided to pull Caleb out of preschool since he can't get the flu shot and it is running rampid around the area. There was actually a kindergartner who died from the Swine Flu in the tristate area. I would rather be safe than sorry. In fact, I am struggling with sending Trevor everyday since asthma seems to be the underlying factor in many of the child deaths from H1N1. Since both boys have fairly severe asthma (have to take controller medicine daily and other meds a few times a week for attacks), I am having a hard time knowing they are safe and not going to get extremely sick from this flu.
Hope to post more often in the next few weeks as we are getting back to a somewhat normal routine...whatever that means...

What's Up

Well, we have been a little busy the last week. Trevor ended up being admitted to the hospital for respiratory distress after attending a birthday party for his cousin on Saturday. We aren't sure whether it was the inflatable jumpers that caused his asthma attack or not, but he was wheezing pretty badly through the evening and we finally took him to the emergency room, where his pulse oxygen level was so low that he was almost put in the intensive care unit. Talk about scary. And, as it goes, Caleb and McKenna are starting to cough and wheeze as well. However, there breathing issues are not as pronounced as the big guy. It has been a long week. Aaron had to work, so we were asking friends and family to help with the little kids and maintaining the homestead. A big "thank you" for those of you who were able to help. We could not have made it through without you. So, we are looking into what might be causing the breathing issues. I will post more as I can. For now, I am exhausted doing breathing treatments every 2-3 hours a day times three, giving doses of steroids for the boys, and other medicines. I am going to need a LONG vacation after this bout of illness. I am just so grateful that I don't have to try to work on top of all of this. I tell you, I don't know how working moms do it. I am blessed to be able to be here to cuddle, give meds, and sleep when I need to. Yeah right...about the sleeping part.

These are some Pre-Halloween pictures. I took these the night we attended Halloween Fest at Coney. The pictures with the candy were taken while making pumpkin/Halloween candy necklaces. I love this time of year as there are lots of fun crafts to do with the kids. There will be many, many more pictures of these activities to come. We have made candy apples, chocolate spider covered pretzels, ghost suckers, etc. So, I will try to capture and post these as I do them. Hope you are all getting ready and having as much fun gearing up for the holidays as we are.

Way too long

I have been really bad about blogging recently. Same old, same old. So here are a few pictures to keep you interested in looking at my site. Why? I am not sure since I am not really finding myself with a lot of time on my hands to blog. I love sharing photos, but am finding myself with only seconds at the end of a long, long day to post. Anyway, here are some pictures of the cupcakes I made for Trevor's birthday this year. They were really yummy and EGGLESS!! So, Caleb could eat some too.

And a few more pictures. This creepy spider hung around the house for nearly three months. He went from a tiny little thing into this garganuate monster of a spider. This, until the gazebo blew down during another windy afternoon (second gazebo in a year). Anyway, my friend Amy killed him during the demolition of the old gazebo. I was so glad to see him go. I walked into many of his elaborate webs on a nearly daily basis. Goodbye Charlotte.

And the picture of Trevor was just in the pictures I downloaded a few weeks ago and I thought it was cute. Enjoy.
