I Want Judy Moody

I think we have a "Rico Suave" on our hands. After finishing two of the books in the Judy Moody series, Caleb procedes to come up to me and (in Caleb's funny and serious voice), "Hey...how old is she? Judy Moody? I want her number and I want to call her." It was so funny. He was completely serious and his tone was so funny. He really wants her number, man...I think she might be his first love.  For all of you who know Caleb, know how funny of a child he really is.  He is so raw and so Caleb.  God love him.  I'm sure he truly believes she is out there somewhere waiting for a friend like him...

I am just so excited that my kids are already demonstrating a love for learning...a love for reading. It was so wonderful watching Trevor try to read to Caleb when I had to leave the room a few times to deal with McKenna. I am so happy they want to read and they are busting at the seams to answer questions about the stories and to work on other learning material as well. You can totally tell I am a teacher...and you can totally tell my kids love to learn. I just thank God everyday for the gifts he has given to me. These kids are so bright, loving, funny, creative, intuitive, and unique. I don't want to sound like they are the greatest beings on the planet. I am just so proud of each and every one of them for many different reasons. And I am proud to be their mommy.

Maybe revamping the blog

I would like to let everyone know that my blog will be going through some changes over the next few weeks.  I am trying to figure out a new format and might even change the address.  I HATE how I have to upload photos, I don't understand the formatting and the templates are not very easy on the eyes.  What is easy on the eyes are the pictures of my little cowboys.  Aren't they too cute for words...Anyway, hope I can get the blog world figured out soon or I might just set up a sight with my pictures on it.  In the meantime, here are Indiana Jones and Cowboy Caleb...

Here is a collection of pictures of many of the Halloween/falloween activities we have done during the past few weeks. We made more candy necklaces, made caramel apples, carved pumpkins, ate cooked pumpkin seeds, made pumpkin cheesecake minis, took fall walks, made leaf place mats with our leaves, painted and cut out pumpkin crafts, created a fall table cloth, went to a few pumpkin patches, made goblin suckers, painted pumpkins, made and played fall BINGO, did Halloween crosswords and other puzzles, painted by number (fall and halloween themed, of course)painted with leaves, made pumpkin rice crispy treats...I am sure there is more, but you get the gist. Oh yeah...and we went Trick-or-Treating. We have had so much fun celebrating and learning, that I have been so tired to post. I really love this time of year. I could do without the impending cold weather, but I love to foster my kids love of learning by creating and doing all of these holiday crafts and activities. Not sure who gets more enjoyment out of the whole process...those who are doing the activities, or those who are preparing them and taking pictures all the while. I love being a mommy...most days....at least on days like this...
