Happy New Year!!

Let me start by saying...Out with the old, in with the new... Happy New Year's Eve . I wish for everyone health, peace and happiness all year long. I feel like I have been extremely blessed this year and in years past. I hope the same for all of my friends and family too.

The kids and I made New Years Cards and New Year's Eve cookies. Unfortunately, the never made it to the surface. We had too much fun mixing colors and icing our tongues. Oh well. I guess we will be making something else for our get together...

McKenna coloring

We had a scary moment this morning. I sent Trevor across the street to get the neighbor's newspaper (they are out of town...we aren't stealing it). Anyway, about 15 minutes after he got back, I noticed that I hadn't heard McKenna in a while. We looked everywhere and couldn't find her. Of course, I am thinking she got out when Trevor went out and was walking down the street. I ran up and down the steps looking for her. I was in a state of frenzy when I heard a little voice coming from the bathroom in the master bedroom. Upon further investigation, we found McKenna playing in the tub (no water of course). Scary, nonetheless. So, from now on, gates are shut and doors are closed...phew. My heart is still racing and this happened over an hour ago.

How lucky am I

How lucky am I ...

I have the opportunity to have laundry piled up to the ceiling...haha

I have a sick baby sleeping next to me

I have a husband who works hard for the money

I have a college degree...and I don't owe any money

I have in-laws who love my kids

I have dirty dishes to clean

I have boys who pee on the seat

I have a girl who leaves her baby dolls laying around

I have my health

I have a mom who is alive and well

I have friends who call when I least expect it

How lucky am I???
I can't believe we are all looking at the camera!

Another one of my new favorites...

And, another new favorite...

Kids have been wild today. Trevor's cough is horrible. It is starting to loosen up a little. We are all washing our hands like mad and have cracked skin. Hopefully nobody else gets it, cause you can tell it is not a lot of fun. Maybe he will feel better tomorrow. Caleb did a good job getting his picture taken this morning. Usually, he won't look at the camera at all. Amazing what a little bit of candy and some pennies for his piggy bank will get you.

Grilled cheese and tomato soup

Trevor and Pepere (I love this picture)

Trevor kissing McKenna. This was not a posed picture, either. How cute is that??

The kids and me at the family get together. Caleb was busy screaming at the top of his lungs.

Taken this evening after dinner. Trevor loves his baby sister.

So Trevor informed me today that he was, "just not that into soup without the crackers." How did I raise such a hippie child?? And Caleb, well...he ate 4 bowls of tomato soup. He loved, loved, loved it. Of course, it was mostly crackers with a little soup so as not to have a huge mess to clean up.

We had a great time at the family get together. It was really nice to see everyone and the kids did well with the exception of Caleb. I pray when he turns three that he will magically turn back into the real Caleb. We have 2 months and counting. He had a hard time waiting to open gifts and did not nap long. So, he mostly screamed and cried the whole afternoon. To give him a little credit, I don't think he feels all that well.

Here are a few of my new favorite pictures. How do people choose their favorites when their camera is their new best friend?? I am having such a hard time choosing just a few to post. Can you tell? I don't know what will happen when I take a class and fully understand my new camera. I will have to set up a whole new blog just for pictures...haha.

Caleb

As I promised...

Guess who I'm is

This is the all awaited game Trevor got for Christmas. Guess Who I Am is a family game where you use clues to determine which mask you are wearing. Trevor was so happy Santa brought it to him. And Caleb calls it Guess Who I'm Is. They have had a great time playing it. McKenna even gives clues. This morning, Trevor was the elephant and McKenna made the sound for elephant. This was priceless. Gotta love games they can play together.

McKenna

OK...bear with me. I have to come up with a system here. Sorry there is no editing. The marks on McKenna's face are from her having to watch herself all day while I tried to figure my computer editing program out. I need to devise a new system for storing pictures. I think, when you take 1000 pictures every few days or so, you need to come up with a way of storing and editing...lol. Anyway, here are a few of my new favorite pictures. There are favorites of Trevor and Caleb too, I just only had 15 hours to devote to McKenna's pictures today. These were all taken today. Can you believe it was 70 degrees outside??? We actually spent most of the day outdoors. The kids had a wonderful time on our 2 hour walk. They played at the park. Caleb was very upset about the leaves blowing away. It was nice to spend the afternoon outside.

Merry Christmas

My favorite picture of all...McKenna ready for her nap. It was a long morning.

The all awaited "Guess what I am" game. Trevor has been asking for this game for months...

OK...I only have time to post a few. Tomorrow and the next will bring much, much more. I only took 642 pictures between December 24 and December 25. Literally...642... So, when I find more time in between opening toy packaging, playing new board games, playing with moon sand, learning new photo software, etc. I will post more. For now, here are a few...We are truly blessed.

Christmas past

Here are photos taken in years past. Trevor, Caleb and McKenna's first Christmas photos in one collage. I hardly remember Trevor being this little.

The Christmas Pirate

Caleb helping make buckeyes

Trevor helping too

Caleb licking the spatula

McKenna playing "Boo"

The Christmas Casserole

We had a great time today. We sang Christmas songs, read Christmas books, made buckeyes and made a red and green Christmas casserole. Trevor said, "we sure are Christmas Pirates". For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why he kept saying this. I later figured it out...he was trying to say that he was really in the Christmas spirit. Too funny.
