We found a ladybug today. Actually, we found several. Only one...Lucy the Ladybug...was doomed to spend her last hours with my children today. We brought her inside, investigated, fed, tortured and tried to set her free. I am not sure why she "wouldn't work" after hours of manipulation. But, the kids had a nice time getting to know her, nonetheless. Trevor informed everyone that he was the daddy and that Lucy needed to eat in privacy. I think she was on her last leg at this point. We set her to the side to eat her mangled grass and leaves. Lo and behold, she "flew away" during naps. Poor Lucy. She never saw it coming.
