It cracks me up. Caleb has a lot of chewing and swallowing issues. This has been evident since birth. Not sure if it is nurological or developmental. Nonetheless, he continues to struggle with textures and slurred speech. He tries to eat the food everyone else eats. Sometimes he succeeds and sometimes he pukes all over the place. So, he is one of those kids you read about that have to have new foods on his plate for like 2 months before he will attempt it. He is not picky, he is just reluctant because it usually ends up in a coughing puking ordeal. So, after months and months of putting grapes on his plate (actually, it was probably years of doing this), he decided to give them a try. God love Caleb...he eats them like apples. So, fine motor...not a problem. He holds them with his tiny fingers. It is so funny to watch. Here are a few pictures of him doing this...
